Patient and Experienced Tutor for English, ESOL, and Theater
My passion for tutoring comes from my own experiences as someone who often seeks support and individually tailored instruction. As a magna cum laude graduate, and as someone who has been recognized across various disciplines, I know hard work can pay off! As a creative professional, I know everyone has their own method of learning and understanding. I believe in self discipline, creativity, and commitment, and I believe in collaboratively creating spaces of connection, support, and learning. ...

I am a New York based theater professional. I have performed in more than 20 NYC theatrical premieres, including plays by noted stalwarts such as Mac Wellman, Erik Ehn, Caridad Svich, Sheila Callaghan, and Ken Urban. I am a founding member and the actor in residence of a critically acclaimed theater company dedicated to accessible, full scale, immersive productions. I am very well versed in classic and contemporary drama, and I have considerable experience with script analysis, scene study, monologue prep, as well as an expertise in immersive, installation, and interactive theater. I have given workshops on immersive performance, I have worked as a teaching artist, I have moderated panels on women in theater, and I have been interviewed for several theater publications and journals. I often tailor lessons with an eye toward heightening a student's individual curiosities and point of view. I have trained at a variety of programs, including the O'Neill National Theater Institute and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts; and I have been nominated for a Princess Grace Foundation Award by the highly lauded companies, The New Group and New Georges.
